My Work

I handle technical supervision of structure and building services. I look at buildability from the design stage, then check quality on site once construction starts. I am involved both before and during the build.

Why I Like This Work

When a fault gets prevented before it happens. There is nothing showy about it, but the problem that never occurred is the real output of this work.

How I’ve Changed

I look at systems now rather than people. Most mistakes come from how the work was set up. Fix it rather than blame someone: that way of thinking has stayed with me.

What’s Next

I want to build an environment where younger engineers grow. As much as possible, I want to get the things that only come from experience down into words and standards.
