My Work

I gather information on sites and test whether they work as a business. We look at dozens a year and only a handful go ahead. Making that call is my work at the moment.

Why I Like This Work

The more I walk, the more I see. Two sites can look identical on paper and feel completely different once you are standing there. Being able to check that difference myself is what makes it interesting.

How I’ve Changed

I understand what the numbers mean now. When I started I was just looking at spreadsheets. Now I can follow which figure leads to which decision.

What’s Next

To complete a building I planned, on land I found myself. I have not managed it yet.

A Day in the Life

9:00

Into the office. I go through the listings that have come in from agents.

10:30

Site visit. I walk a full loop of the surrounding area.

14:00

Back at the office, running the financial projections.

16:30

Reporting my findings to my manager.
