Concept
A small hotel along the Kamo River. We read the character of the surviving machiya nearby and matched the ratio of height to opening to them.
From the rooms you can see the surface of the river and the ridgeline of Higashiyama.
Features
The tea room on the ground floor can be booked by people who are not staying. A local tea ceremony school uses it regularly, so tourism and daily life meet here.
